Caroline Lavelle
has been working with quite different artists like Siousxie And The Banshees, Fun Boy Three, Humoresque, Radiohead, The Cranberries, Peter Gabriel, Nigel Kennedy, Indigo Girls, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Vangelis, Hector Zazou, Massive Attack, Chieftains and Loreena McKennitt to mention some, as well as released four solo albums. She also has the band Secret Sky with a couple of mates from the McKennitt band.
I have taken some of Lavelle's already brilliant productions, and given them a new twist by prolonging already long pieces to make space for my own improvisations without stepping on other musicians' toes.

Clare Kenny
has a long track record as a bass player including hundreds of contrubutions on other peoples recordings, and touring with Sinead O’Connor as well as The Indigo Girls among others. Clare and Caroline make music and perform together frequently. They also have an agency and promotion company, Dryad Music.
On our version of the song «The House of the Rising Sun» Clare’s bass groove holds it all together as well as adds nerve through small melodic improvisations. No wonder she is such a treasured bass player. She and Caroline made a brilliant version before I was bewitched into remixing and making myself audible with the other two.

Jacobus deGraaf
is a piano player from Netherland, working with Caroline on writing, composing and arranging music.
On the track «Wind on the downs» he and Caroline play 4-handed piano. The text is a poem by Marian Allen. She wrote it in 1918 after losing her fiance in World War 1.

Carl Tomas Nising
with the artist name Nising, makes dreamy pop music. The songs Hubris and Sleepwalker come from his hand and were initially produced by him before being remixed by me to make space for my saxophone. He is from my hometown Stavanger and I’ve known him since he was a kid.

Jake’s Jacket
is only me. It is a second artist profile I own, a more rock oriented version of me, with (rotten) vocal and a slightly more political approach.
On "2060 or so..." I was kindly given permission to use the video material of Scientists Warning by their leader at that time, the late Stuart Scott. Check out their website on https://scientistswarning.org/
Michael Horton plays the guitar on «2060 or so...».
"I won't take it" is about general poverty in modern western societies, where the difference between rich and poor is increasing. The singer (me) describes an old, poor and sick man facing a bleak future both for himself and his neighbour citizens.

Lena Kristin Bru Søndervik
is the artist behind the paintings I usually choose as illustrations for my songs. She is also the mother of my two firstborn children. Do you like Lenas paintings? Send her an email!

Collaborators
Besides developing my own material in solitude, I like working with others. Finding the right people is not always easy. If you look for something special, you may end up going quite far to find soul mates. I've been lucky. It has been so inspiring that I put my own musical ideas aside for a while.
